The 1985 college story
Nike introduced the Dunk in 1985 as a high top basketball shoe in college team colors, with the “Be True to Your School” campaign, per Complex. Sources list different rosters of schools; Michigan is named in several of them. The 2020 Michigan High brings back that maize and navy color blocking.
Wearing maize and navy
- Navy or grey pants keep the yellow as the focus; blue denim works too.
- White socks with the high collar showing, or pants cuffed just above it.
